A true masterpiece of flamboyant Gothic art, the Cloister of Cadouin was built in the 12th century. Nowadays, it is classified as a Historical Monument and is also listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site. Visitors can discover its excellent conservation and its various buildings that have survived the ages. From the chiseled doors, to the pillars, the sculpted capitals, the keystones and the gardens, visitors cannot help but be charmed by the place. It is not surprising, therefore, that the site has been used as a filming location for many films and TV movies.

Visit the Cloister of Cadouin

During the summer season, the Cloister can be visited from mid-May to the beginning of July from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm. Then during the months of July and until the end of August, the site is open continuously from 10am to 7pm. Count on 45 minutes of free visit to enjoy the place.

During the summer, night tours are also organized on site every Monday evening at 9:00 pm. A great way to spend a historic evening during your stay in the Dordogne!
